This is the debut novel from new author Wes Markin.
Where to start. Well Wes really does go for the jugular with this one, the prologue is explosive and leads you straight into a violent brutal tale in the town of Salisbury and sets the scene all for what’s coming next....
A massive pool of blood found in a private school, what appears to be an abduction, a case for DCI Micheal Yorke and his team to get to the bottom of, this kind of thing doesn’t happen in rural England.
The abduction is linked to the Rays, a hated family in the local community and it seems some one has it in for them but who and why?
This is a fact paced, explosive procedural thriller which carries with it an eerie feeling that when reading, it makes you feel uncomfortable but in a good “ I want to read more “ way.
Lots of blood, Violence, murders, pigs, prostitution, serial killers and psychopaths , at times I thought I was in a movie almost like “deliverance” - it all goes off down Salisbury way!
This is a highly entertaining page turner and I look forward to reading more from this author, and have got the prequel waiting.
I was given this copy to review by Wes himself but that has by no means influenced my review or score , I’m honest and impartial at AJ books , it’s a solid 3.5 stars for me which for a debut I think is pretty impressive start and highly recommended
You can pre order it now at amazon for 99p, released February 11th 2019, it’s definitely worth a read.
