My Review

Firstly, My thanks to Panther Publishing for the invite to the Blog Tour and e-arc of,  The Art Of Murder by J.S. Strange, the 2nd in his PI Jordan Jenner mysteries.

I've yet to read Murder on the Rocks, the first in the series, so starting out, I wasn't sure what to expect. Straight away this is easily picked up from book 2, you aren't overloaded with book 1 events so that's always a good start when beginning a book part way through a series.

Described in the Blurb as cosy Welsh mystery... this is a book that has its moments and isn’t all that cosy..

Set in the murky world of Art, Xander Draper, a renowned young artist seeks help from Jordan Jenner, he thinks he is being hunted by The Dirty Dolly’s, a group hellbent on causing disruptions in the Art World. When Xander is found Violently stabbed to death in a cage before his entrance to a new Art show, Jordan becomes embroiled in a cat and mouse chase with the bad guys, who it seems, know his name. How and why do they know who Jordan is?

In the midst of the investigation, Jordan also has to deal with brother Ashley, returning out of the blue, he is carrying a secret...

With help from the local police, Jordan begins his investigations.

This is a very clever mystery, full of plot twists, it's a real traditional mystery, echos of Agatha Christie and the like have been mentioned in regards to J.S Strange and I would suggest this is an author who is growing toward such praise.

Paced perfectly to keep you turning pages as the mystery unravels itself, I really liked this setting in Wales and premise of the dark and mysterious art world, dastardly enemies and foul play afoot, this was a cracking read and highly recommended, J.S strange has a talent for mystery and I will be picking up book 1 and then following Jordan Jenner's future adventures closely.

Is Jordan Jenner the new Super sleuth of our generation? I think he might just be...

Highly recommended
