Drug Gang Takedown by Neil Walker (Drug Gang Trilogy 3)
Books / August 7, 2019

Firstly, Thanks again to Neil Walker for providing me with a copy of the 3rd and final piece of his blistering Drug Gang Trilogy. This final part, Takedown, picks up at the end of Vengeance, where protagonist John Kennedy and girlfriend Lucy are now ready to finally step away from the game. If only it was that simple… Back in Australia, and drawn back in by friend Blair, John is left with no choice but to help his friend battle the crazed hatchet gang. This book is an absolute Powder Keg, as John metes out the shocking brutality the only way he knows how. Neil Walker writes violence with such a savagery and verve, he really knows how to get under your skin, it’s sickening at times but YOU have to read on, and it fits into his explosive, energetic stories flawlessly. This trilogy is not just a tale of gratuitous violence, they are cracking stories also. Neil Walker comes up with his nastiest , most vicious enemy yet, and that takes some doing! There is a monster twist in this one which dropped my jaw! This final part is another, full on punch straight in the throat. its…

Following on from the events of Drug Gang, http://www.alexjbooks.com/review/drug-gang-by-neil-walker-drug-gang-trilogy-1/  John Kennedy returns in the follow up, Drug Gang Vengeance. John is now living in Sydney, running a new drug gang and living with love of his life, Lisa, unbeknown to Lisa , John is still in the drug world in a big way, but he plans to get out soon. Unfortunately the past is about to return to haunt him. Savagely attacked by the returning Brotherhood, John and Lisa’s life in paradise is shattered. Returning first to Belfast , then Manchester, the scene of Book 1, John swears to get his final lasting vengeance and retribution on the new risen again Brotherhood, now ran by crazed Simon and the equally sadistic girlfriend Kate, a new member of the gang. As with the first book this is an absolute firecracker, it’s loud, brutal, offensive, explicitly violent and completely chaotic. Even more savage and sadistic than it’s predecessor this book delves more in to the drug trade and introduces some new characters aswell as some from the past you don’t expect. Action packed and rip roaringly paced, there’s a huge twist to come and shock you down to your boots. The scenes in…

Where to start with this bad boy! Manchester 2001, John Kennedy has just arrived in Manchester after a year travelling Thailand and Australia. Fed up living hand to mouth in dead end jobs In Belfast, where he is originally from, He’s come to meet a friend Micheal who he met on his travels,. Micheal says he has a friend who has some work… Introduced to Doug, it quickly becomes apparent this work is of the physical type, he is going to become part of a drug gang, the brotherhood. This is a brutal, bloody, ultra violent look into what is a gang ran with military precision, it’s scary to imagine this type of thing could exist but it’s also cracking good reading. The tension increases as doubts creep in as the beatings, jobs and dealing becomes more intense and lead to worse and worse things. The finale builds toward one of the most awful, powerful chapters I’ve read of any book. I am hard to shock, this particular chapter left me close to disturbed but it fits into the essence of the story and as shocking as it is , it’s almost essential to the story, The ending is a…
