Book 6 of the DCI Daley Investigations.

When a team of archaeologists find the remains of three woman on a remote Kintyre hillside , it quickly takes a turn for the worse when they realise the women were killed less than 20 years ago. It becomes apparent that they are the missing victims of the 'Midweek Murderer', a serial killer who was at work in Glasgow in the early 90s.

A tale of death, betrayal, Viking treasure and revenge.

These books , for me are real great adventures, on the (quiet?) island of Klintoch. Meyrick really knows how to set the scene and transport you to the island, its like your there, luckily you dont have to go by boat with DS Scott!

Its another great read in the series, full of twists and surprises until the end.

As usual, Daley is supported by his DS, Brian Scott, Brilliant character , Annie from the hotel ,Hamish and DS Scott's unflapplable wife Ella who all add to a well written tale.

You could pick this up as a standaone book but you would be cheating yourslef out of the other 5 before this. Daley at his Brooding best, Scott with the humour to cut the tension and then there is Hamish, a magical creation by Denzil Meyrick.

Fantastic , 5 stars
